I met Jake, the sales associate for R4, at the Home and Garden show last year. I was happy to make a few connections with roofing companies as we were hoping to get a new roof after our basement remodel was complete. Other companies had come out to assess our roof and offered an estimate, but after explaining to them that we wanted to wait until our construction project was complete, we never heard from them again. Jake remained in touch and was respectful, but persistent in seeking our business. As often happens, our construction ran long and we really needed our roof. One other impressive feature R4 offered were drone photos of every angle of our roof. Those photos showed hail and wind damage that other companies had missed and went a long way in helping us secure the approval of our insurance companies coverage. When we were finally ready to have the roof done, the team came out in force and completed the job in about 2 and 1/2 days. The roofing product looks beautiful and we are confident it will be long lasting. There was a little hiccup in the decking, but after reaching out to Jake, that problem was solved the next day! We’ve felt well taken care of by the team at R4. Everyone has been professional and kind in every encounter. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Absolutely incredible experience with R4 Roofing and Exteriors, from start to finish everything was seamless and stress free. Joe, Brady and the entire team are super helpful, professional and take great pride in their work. I’m so impressed with this company, I’ve never had such a positive experience with a contractor. They did our new roof, skylights, gutters and repainted our entire house. The quality of work was impeccable. I met with over 9 roofing contractors before I decided to go with R4. I worked exclusively with Brady who managed our project and did an excellent job. He was thorough, communicative, and fast. By far the smoothest process compared to the other 8 roofers I met with. I was also impressed with the amount of manufacturer’s R4 utilized. It seems other contractors are usually married to just 1 shingle brand, whereas R4 uses several which created more options and flexibility when some brands were back ordered last year. R4 also offered a superior warranty. If I ever have to replace a roof in a future house, R4 will be my only call.

(Previous review removed without my knowledge from either Google nor R4. I just happened to notice the removal by chance as it did not violate any of Google's violations as far as I could see. Makes me wonder if there are other 1-star reviews that have been removed by this company?) All of the following are either facts or verbal and/or written interactions that occurred between myself and representatives of R4: 2 failed inspections and still no final inspection on roof after almost 2 months! (edit: this was resolved only after my initial review). Total disregard for neighbors' property - Roofers used neighbor's (my) front yard for a staging ground for materials, as well as a work area to cut sheathing, etc. Trash (old roof decking, shingles, tar paper, roofing nails) ended up on neighbor's roof next door. I contacted R4 to notify them of the trash. I spoke to Jake, then both Josh and Joe, whose response was "it's Unavoidable." After much back and forth with Jake via text and Jake telling me that all of the trash is no big deal-"it'll just wash off the rain", I asked him to "check out" an area of damage. He provided a before-photo and proceeded to claim I was lying and dishonest over text (Wow!). Joe would not return my calls to discuss. So I resorted to writing a review. Had any one of these "professionals" ever "met with" me after the project, apologized, or attempted to reach out to me for cleanup, we likely wouldn't be here.

We are very pleased with the work R4 has done for us. With the recent hailstorm in July of this year, we were at wits end to have the work done on our home correctly. Before we signed up with R4, we had a bad experience with another roofer. We were recommended by our insurance agent to call R4 and we are so happy that we did! Andy was excellent in explaining how the estimate from the insurance works and how R4 was going to proceed. The quality of the work, and excellent communication is key to keeping everyone in the loop. Andy's team was polite and did an excellent job in clean up. Kudos to all involved! We would highly recommend R4 to friends and neighbors and we would not hesitate to call on them in future if need be. Thank you again!
